| The Firm Then: Supergroups don't last long. Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, former Bad Company vocalist Paul Rodgers and Manfred Mann drummer Chris Slade created The Firm in 1984. Even though the band never reached the height of any of the previously mentioned bands, they had their hits. They released songs like "Radioactive" (US #25), the Zeppelin-like "Midnight Moonlight" and even a cover of "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" but couldn't push it any further. Before a world tour after only two albums (The Firm and Mean Business), Slade ran off to join AC/DC. Page and Rodgers went off to solo ventures. Now: Only Page has kept in the spotlight by reuniting and recording two albums with Robert Plant. Jimmy Page And The Black Crowes released a double-CD Live At The Greek in mid-2000. While Paul Rodgers returned to a reformed Bad Company during 1999. |
