| A Split Second Then: Mark Ickx (ex-Extraballe) joined up with Chrismar Chayell to form the Belgian industrial/dance act A Split-Second. They released the dance track "Flesh" as their debut single in 1986 to the acclaim of a changing dance scene at home. Their first Belgian album was released in 1987 titled Ballistic Statues. Following a pull towards more aggressive dance music, they hardened up their sound for a self-titled debut LP which would include the next single "Rigor Mortis", "Flesh" and other tracks released internationally. By 1988, A Split-Second's sound had gotten even harder with guitars added to the beautiful yet vicious lyrics released From The Inside on Chicago's Wax Trax! label. Now: 1990's album Kiss of Fury followed but much of the magic seemed missing. After a 5 year hiatus A Split-Second returned withthe album Vengeance. |
