Cinderella have been forced to cancel their tour with Warrant and Lynch Mob. Vocalist Tom Keifer's left vocal cord hemorrhaged on June 11th during pre-production rehearsals. According to Keifer's doctor, it will be up to 3 weeks before swelling from the damage recedes and they can assess whether surgery will be required.

According to his manager, Dan Seals is completing radiation treatments for lymphoma and will follow that with a stem cell transplant. Seals has been at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston for 4 months.

Motley Crue have filed a lawsuit in L.A. County Superior Court against manager Burt Stein and his management companies for breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract and declaratory relief. The band believes Stein (and his companies) made backroom deals without their permission and took money from them when he was supposed to look out for them. A similar case in 2006 was filed against a former manager and was settled last year. Meanwhile, the group have made a sneak peek of their entire upcoming studio album, Saints Of Los Angeles, available at IHeartMusic.com. The album heads to stores on June 24th. Also, during an interview for an upcoming Rolling Stone article about the band's new album, Tommy Lee mentioned that ex-wife Pamela Anderson and their children together have moved in with him.

New Edition have been announced as this year's recipient of ASCAP's Golden Note Award. Their 25-year career will be celebrated at the annual Rhythm & Soul Music Awards in Beverly Hills, California, on June 23rd.

Maze featuring Frankie Beverly will be inducted into the Philadelphia Walk of Fame during a ceremony on June 20th. Theirs will become the 107th commemorative bronze plaque to be placed on the Avenue of the Arts.

Rick Springfield, James Ingram, BJ Thomas, Thelma Houston and Paul Williams are among the performers scheduled for the 2008 Hero Awards: Heroes Among Us which will air on MyNetworkTV on July 4th. The show benefits Feed The Children.

Journey's Revelation debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 albums chart selling 105,000 copies. Madonna's Hard Candy fell 3 places to #14. Frank Sinatra's Nothing But The Best dropped 10 spots to #16. Neil Diamond's Home Before Dark fell 10 places to #25. Al Green's Lay It Down dropped 19 spots to #28. Aimee Mann's @#%&*! Smilers debuted at #32. Bret Michael's Rock My World debuted at #40.

Madonna's "4 Minutes" featuring Justin Timberlake has retained the #10 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. Meanwhile, her brother Christopher Ciccone is reportedly working on a tell-all book about her entitled My Life With My Sister to be released on July 15th.

Neil Diamond's Home Before Dark climbed a spot to #2 on the U.K. Albums chart. Last week's chart-topper Paul Weller's 22 Dreams fell to #4. Neil Diamond's The Best Of Neil Diamond retained its place at #7. Neil Diamond's The Essential Neil Diamond climbed 3 places to #11. Paul Simon's The Essential Paul Simon gained 15 places to #12. Guns N' Roses' Greatest Hits climbed 8 spots to #13. The Platters' The Very Best Of The Platters gained 4 places to #15. Willie Nelson's Legend: The Very Best of Willie Nelson re-entered the chart at #21. Madonna's Hard Candy fell 4 places to #26. Hall & Oates' The Singles climbed 6 spots to #29. Dolly Parton's Backwoods Barbie debuted at #35. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers' Greatest Hits climbed a spot to #37. Whitesnake's 30th Anniversary Collection debuted at #38. The first single from the collection Idolize Yourself: The Very Best Of Billy Idol (due out June 24th) will be "John Wayne." The song is exclusively featured at BillyIdol.net and his MySpace page.

Nine Inch Nails will release their new album, The Slip, on CD in the U.S. and Canada on July 22nd (U.K. and Europe the day prior.) A vinyl version of the album will head out in August.

Former Little River Band member Graeham Goble has released his new studio album, Let It Rain, for purchase at GraehamGoble.com in CD or MP3 formats.

Metallica has announced that their new studio album will be titled Death Magnetic when released in September via Warner Bros.

Extreme will release their new studio album, Saudades de Rock, via Frontiers Records on Aug. 1st in Europe. The European release will include the exclusive bonus track, "Americocaine (demo 1985)," which was Extreme's very first demo recording.

Vinyl reissues of Bjork's solo albums are planned for June 30th by One Little Indian Records. A six-CD Sugarcubes singles boxed set is also on the way containing all their singles from 1986 to 1989.

According to a post at their official MySpace page, Sweet Sensation has called it a day. "This is a very sad time. Thanks to all the fans that have supported Sweet Sensation through the years." A public statement about the end of the group will be released by management shortly.

Fatboy Slim has released the first taste of his new project, the Brighton Port Authority, to the Internet. The creative yet racy video for "Toe Jam" (which features David Byrne and Dizzee Rascal on vocals) has debuted at the Brighton Port Authority MySpace page. The debut album from the project will also feature Iggy Pop on a cover of Monochrome Set's "He's Frank." "Toe Jam" will be released digitally via Southern Fried Records on July 7th.

Lawrence Bender has signed on to help develop a TV series based on Nine Inch Nails' Year Zero album. Trent Reznor has said that if the show goes well that he'd consider bringing it to the big screen.

Martha and the Muffins will see their 1983 album, Dansparc, reissued and digitally re-mastered on Aug. 4th in the U.K. and Europe via Cherry Red. This will be the first time the album will be available on CD there. They also have been working on a new studio album, Delicate, due out in November.

Boy George, who helped pick up trash in New York City as part of his 2006 court-ordered community service (for falsely reporting a burglary), will be playing a free concert at the city's Sanitation Family Day on Aug. 17th. George has said that it is his way of saying thank you for the kindness shown to him by the DSNY.

According to Life & Style, Michael Jackson is reportedly developing a clothing line with French designer Christian Audiger of Ed Hardy.

The Alarm plan to release their new studio effort, Guerilla Tactics, on CD and DVD on July 8th. The album is being called their most personal release to date as it details vocalist Mike Peters' ongoing battle with leukemia.

Kenny Loggins and Richard Marx taped an episode of the new PBS television series Legends & Lyrics in Nashville on June 12th. Other episodes taped that day featured John Hiatt and Charlie Daniels. On June 13th an episode was recorded with Kris Kristofferson and Randy Owen. The series is set to debut this fall. Meanwhile, Loggins will also appear on the July 31st episode of Fox's Don't Forget The Lyrics.

Pearl Jam have worked out a deal with Verizon Wireless' V Cast service to provide exclusive songs from their Summer 2008 tour (recorded as part of their live bootleg program) via V Cast and PearlJamConcerts.com.

Lionel Richie told reporters prior to his performance at Antigua's Romantic Rhythms festival that if the Commodores were to have a reunion, it could happen in the next two years. "We better do it now, or in the next 10 years nobody would care."

Former TNT vocalist Tony Harnell will release his second album, Love's Dying Wish, with his side project Starbreaker. The album will head to stores in Europe on Aug. 1st, in Japan on Aug. 27th and the U.S. to be announced soon.

The Simple Minds' 1990 collection Themes 1 through 4 will be expanded to a Theme 5 when released on June 23rd in the U.K. The 25-CD boxed set (5 discs per Theme) contains remixes, B-sides and live tracks. Each theme box will be made available for purchase digitally.

The Sundance Channel plan to premiere the second season of their original music series, Live From Abbey Road, on June 19th. Among those to be featured on the 12-part series are Def Leppard, Herbie Hancock, Suzanne Vega and Joan Armatrading.

Heart: In The Studio, the first authorized book on the rock band, will be published by ECW Press this month. The band are also working on a new studio album due out next year just in time for a possible induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

George Michael has announced that he intends to retire from touring at the end of his 25 Live Tour. His London dates at Earl's Court in August have been labeled as "The Final Two." The final performance by Wham! in 1986 at Wembley Stadium was similarly titled "The Final."

Ice Cube plans to reunite with fellow Friday After Next cast members Mike Epps and Terry Crews for an upcoming film entitled Janky Promoters.

Former Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler will be one of the people appearing on the second season of VH1's Celebrity Rehab. Meanwhile, Adler's mother Deanna is working on a 'tell-all' book about her son's time in the band according to an eBay listing where she is selling her Las Vegas home (starting bid $750,000.) Meanwhile, Slash will take the current break from Velvet Revolver (as they look for a new vocalist) to work on a new solo album.

Hue And Cry are planning to release their new studio album, Open Soul, in the U.K. on Sept. 8th. The disc will include their cover of Beyonce's "Crazy In Love."

New Edition member Ralph Tresvant releases his new single, "It Must Be You," to iTunes, Amazon.com and other digital download services on July 1st. Tresvant is also working on his follow-up album to 2006's RizzWaFaire due out later this year.

Matthew Sweet's new studio album, Sunshine Lies, will be released on Aug. 26th. Three tracks from the album are currently up at his MySpace page (myspace.com/matthewsweetmusic).

Graham Russell of Air Supply has co-written some classically oriented music with the group's longtime keyboardist Jed Moss for a children's musical entitled Petalbump. The show is slated to premiere in Salt Lake City in October for 5 performances.

In a recent interview with Billboard.com, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have said that they would like to turn their collaborative work into a going concern. Raising Sand producer T-Bone Burnett has also expressed his hopes to get another shot at the collaboration.

Eddy Grant has signed a deal with Universal Music Enterprises for the release of a new collection, The Very Best Of Eddy Grant: The Road To Reparation, due out July 8th. Grant will also launch The Reparation World Tour to support the release with U.S. dates planned in August.

Judas Priest's new double-disc 23-track studio album, Nostradamus, is streaming at VH1's The Leak (http://www.vh1.com/artists/az/judas_priest/2284206/album.jhtml). The album heads to stores this week.

Laibach have announced that their new studio album will be titled Laibachkunstderfuge. It is available now for digital download via the Web site for Mute and a CD release is expected soon. A live DVD, Volk Dead In Trbovlje, is due out on July 28th.

The new biopic Patti Smith: Dream Of Life will be released to theaters in September. The film was awarded the Cinematography Award and was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize when it premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival.

U2 manager Paul McGuinness told BBC's 6 Music a little about the release of the group's next album, "I would think towards the end of October. We will obviously work with whatever technology is available to make the release of the new record as interesting as possible."

Redd Kross' 1990 album, Third Eye, has been reissued on CD via Rhino Encore and is currently available at Amazon.com.

Country horn player Danny Davis [born George Nowlan], 83, died of cardiac arrest at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, on June 12th. Davis' is highly regarded for adding brass to country music. In 1980, his Nashville Brass released a collaboration album with Willie Nelson. The rest of the decade he spent recording for his own record label, Wartrace. The success of The Nashville Brass led to the launch of the new Grammy category of Best Country Instrumental Performance and they were voted Instrumental Group or Band of the Year at the CMAs for 5 years in a row.
