The parents are out of town, you decide to have 30 or so friends over and then someone posts the information
on MySpace. Sure, it sounds like a movie but, according to the U.K. newspaper The Daily Mail, it happened to Annie
Lennox via her 16 year-old daughter, Lola. Essentially, over 100 people crashed the party with information posted
on MySpace. Reports claim that the $5.5 million London home was destroyed (urine stained carpets, broken furniture,
ripped curtains and wall damage/graffiti) by the uninvited guests.
Sting and his wife Trudie Styler were found guilty by a Southampton, England tribunal last week of "shameful
conduct" for firing former chef Jane Martin while she was pregnant. Martin was fired from her job ($56,000
a year salary) in April of 2006 after 8 years of service. The tribunal ruled that Martin was a victim of sexual
discrimination when dismissed. A hearing will be held on June 8th to determine the amount of compensation due to
the chef.
George Michael, 43, plead guilty in Brent Magistrates' Court on Tuesday to a charge of driving while unfit through
drugs. He told the court, "I am perfectly aware that I did something very wrong and got into my car when I
was unfit to drive. I was not in my normal physical state and I'm perfectly prepared to accept the correct punishment
for that and I would have accepted it a long time ago. It was fairly predictable considering how much work I had
done that week." Sentencing has been deferred until May 30th after more blood tests.
A $300,000 lawsuit has been filed against Tanya Tucker by manicurist Danielle D. Hobbs who claims she was attacked
while at the Tucker's home by the singers dog. Hobbs says that she was bit by the dog on May 2, 2006.
The 28th Annual Telly Awards honored The Oak Ridge Boys with the Bronze Winner in the Education category. The recognition
came from their part in hosting the 2006 World's Largest Concert for Feed the Children. The group also recently
won the American Entertainment Magazine's 2007 Reader's Choice Award for Best Music Act of 2007.
Aretha Franklin will be honored on Feb. 8th as the MusiCares Person of the Year. The event usually takes place
during the week of the Grammy Awards which celebrates their 50th anniversary.
Richard Lloyd will make his final appearance with Television on June 16th at New York's Central Park SummerStage.
Lloyd is expected to leave the band to focus on his new solo album, Radiant Monkey.
The Hooters have reportedly finished work on their new studio album. Some tracks are still getting some last-minute
tweaks in mixing. Right now, artwork is a few days off from being finalized. A release date has yet to be set in
stone but it will be available as a digital download and CD.
Live Aid and Live 8 organizer Bob Geldof has criticized the Live Earth music events Al Gore is putting together
this summer. In an interview with Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant, Geldof said that the event lacks a specific goal.
"I hope they're a success." But he claims that without concrete environmental measures from the American
presidential candidates, Congress or major corporations "... it's just an enormous pop concert or the umpteenth
time that, say, Madonna or Coldplay get up on stage."
Rush's new studio album, Snakes & Arrows, sold 93,000 units claiming the #3 spot on the Billboard 200 album
chart.
The Levellers will reissue their single, "What A Beautiful Day," on June 25th (nearly 10 years to the
day after its original release) a week ahead of their album reissues.
The The have made the new single, "Mrs Mac," available for purchase as an MP3 download via the Showroom
section at TheThe.com. The Matt Johnson-led act are also part of a series of mixed-media collaborations which will
be part of a forthcoming CD/DVD/book. The The have recorded a slower version of their hit, "This Is The Day,"
which is retitled "The End Of The Day" for the project.
Boston's Tom Scholz posted to the band Web sit that he has put plans on a tribute/reunion concert in honor of the
late Brad Delp on the shelf due to the six months of work such a production would take to prepare. Scholz has finished
remastering Boston's Greatest Hits disc which now includes "I Had A Good Time" for release via Sony.
Plans are also to mix tracks for a Boston Live CD.
Willie Nelson, Patty Loveless, Delbert McClinton and Vince Gill are among artists that have contributed songs to
a compilation benefitting the Imus Ranch. The album is due out next year via New West Records.
An auction of Grateful Dead memorabilia held last week raked in $1.1 million. The auction was held on behalf of
Rudson Shurtliff, son of Lawrence "Ram Rod" Shurtliff, the late road manager and president of the Grateful
Dead's corporation.
Bon Jovi's new single, "(You Want To) Make A Memory," was the highest debut on the Billboard Singles
chart at #27. The song sold 51,000 digital downloads after their recent performance of the single on American Idol.

W. A new studio album, The Event, is due out this year.
Robin Beck will release her new studio album, Livin' On A Dream, via Frontiers Records on July 6th.
Overkill will release their follow-up to 2005's ReliXIV via Bodog Music in the U.S. and TVT in Europe as early
as September. A U.S. tour will begin in early October.
Red Hot Chili Pepper guitarist John Frusciante will see the second half of his Ataxia project, Automatic Writing
II, released on May 29th via Record Collection.
Reba McEntire will release her 11-track new studio album, Reba Duets, on Sept. 18th via MCA Nashville. Kelly Clarkson
features on the first single from the release, "Because Of You."
Dave Navarro and Stephen Perkins' Panic Channel project has parted ways with Capitol Records and plan to start
work on their next album shortly.
According to bassist Dusty Hill, ZZ Top's next studio album can be expected more sooner than later. The band are
ready to get something out but currently are between labels and have about 50 song ideas waiting to be finished.
Until then, a possible concert DVD could be recorded this year.

REO Speedwagon's new single, "I Needed To Fall," from their latest album, Find Your Own Way Home, has
debuted on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart at #30. Their last hit on the chart was 1988's "Here With
Me" which peaked at #9.

Suicide's Alan Vega will release his new solo album, Station, via Blast First/Mute on July 31st. Station, Vega's
10th solo album, was self-produced and all instruments were played by Vega.
Bjork's sixth full-length solo album, Volta, debuted on the U.K. album chart at #7. Her 2004 release, Medulla,
debuted at #9.
Clay Millican will be promoting the upcoming Ratt tour by driving the Ratt - Back For More dragster during the
2007 NHRA Powerade tour. The car makes its debut at the Thunder Valley Nationals from May 18th to 20th.
New Order bassist Peter Hook confirmed his comments from last week which led many to believe the band was splitting
up. In a post on his MySpace blog Hook said that he's really relieved and that he hated acting like everything
was normal while carrying an awful secret. A spokesperson for the band has said that bandmate Bernard Sumner is
completely unaware of the possible split and official band site hasn't mentioned it.
Nikki Sixx's soundtrack, The Heroin Diaries, follows his memoir of the same name (and includes a song for each
chapter of the book.) The disc is due out in late August with the book due in late September.
Erasure's next single, "Sunday Girl," will be released in North America on July 17th. The single will
include the B-side, "Take Me On A Highway." Their first single, "I Could Fall In Love With You,"
recently peaked at #2 on Billboard's Hot Dance Singles Sales chart.

Capitol/EMI. The collection includes 6 songs mixed in stereo for the first time.
Tori Amos' new studio album, American Doll Posse, came in at #5 on the Billboard 200 album chart on sales of 53,990
copies.
Former 10cc members Kevin Godley and Graham Gouldman have recorded 5 new songs together. The tracks are available

A new 20th anniversary edition of Joe Satriani's Surfing With The Alien will be reissued via Epic/Legacy Recordings
on Aug. 7th as a double-disc set. The first disc contains a remastered version of the original album with a live
DVD second disc recorded on July 14, 1988 at the Montreux Jazz Festival.
