Missing Persons frontwoman Dale Bozzio, 54, has been convicted of animal cruelty in Ossipee, New Hampshire.  Bozzio had pleaded not guilty to several misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty.  She was convicted of one charge.  She was expected to be sentenced this week in District Court and faces up to a year in jail and a $2,000 fine.

Poison frontman Bret Michaels was forced to cancel his Mar. 26th performance at Elizabeth, Indiana's Horseshoe Hotel Casino due to a severe case of laryngitis.

U2's No Line On The Horizon climbed a place to #2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart on sales of 76,000 copies.  The Twilight soundtrack was the greatest gainer ascending 11 spots to #3 on sales of 74,000 copies (bolstered by 5 new bonus tracks and a bonus DVD.)  Randy Travis' I Told You So: The Ultimate Hits Of Randy Travis debuted at #21.  Bruce Springsteen's Working On A Dream dropped a spot to #36.

Carrie Underwood featuring Randy Travis' "I Told You So" soared 48 spots to #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.  Eminem, Dr. Dre & 50 Cent's "Crack A Bottle" fell 4 places to #22.

Annie Lennox's The Collection retained the #2 spot on the U.K. Albums chart.  U2's No Line On The Horizon fell 5 places to #6.  Bette Midler's The Best Bette climbed 12 spots to #9.  Lionel Richie's Just Go debuted at #10.  Lionel Richie & The Commodores' The Definitive Collection gained 22 spots to #14.  The Dubliners' The Very Best Of The Dubliners dropped 5 places to #21.  Barry Manilow's The Greatest Songs Of The Eighties debuted at #22.  The Everly Brothers' 50 Years Of Hits fell 2 spots to #25.  Tina Turner's The Platinum Collection dropped a place to #26.  Roger Whittaker's The Golden Age Of Roger Whittaker: 50 Years Of Classic Hits retained the #35 spot.  Michael Jackson's King Of Pop collection re-entered the chart at #37.  Luther Vandross' Lovesongs re-entered the chart at #38.  ABBA's Gold: Greatest Hits fell 8 spots to #39.

Jenkins/West/Jones/Gibb's Comic Relief cover of "Islands In The Stream" dropped a spot on the U.K. Singles chart to #3.  The Saturdays' cover of "Just Can't Get Enough" fell a place to #4.  The Pet Shop Boys' "Love Etc" debuted at #14.  Eminem, Dr. Dre & 50 Cent's "Crack A Bottle" dropped 2 spots to #23.  

Sammy Hagar, Chad Smith, Michael Anthony and Joe Satriani's Chickenfoot project will release their 11-track self-titled debut album exclusively via Best Buy on June 7th and supported by a tour.

Elvis Costello will release his new T-Bone Burnett-produced acoustic album, Secret, Profane & Sugarcane, on June 2nd via Hear Music.

Spandau Ballet's Gary Kemp, Martin Kemp, Tony Hadley, Steve Norman and John Keeble gathered on Tuesday on the HMS Belfast to officially announced their reuniting for a comeback tour.  The band had been in talks about a reunion but the death of Gary and Martin's parents (within 48 hours of each other) in January played a huge part in making it happen.  According to Martin, "Things happen in life which are a lot bigger than a court case.  We have all had experiences which are bigger.  We've all had kids, we've lost parents and suddenly everything is put into perspective.  We only have one go at it so let's make the most of it."  Gary Kemp said, "This is my other family and I've missed them for the last 20 years."  They have announced two dates in October at the O2 Arena for what will be a 'greatest hits' world tour.

Neil Young's long-awaited Archives collection will be released on June 2nd as a 10-disc Blu-Ray edition, a 10-DVD box and a CD version.

The Beastie Boys and David Byrne have something in common.  Both have brought rapper/singer/songwriter Santigold into the studio to record guest appearances for their new albums.  Byrne has a new collaboration, "I'm Losing Myself," with New York dance trio Brazilian Girls out via iTunes.  Meanwhile, Byrne issued a response to rumors of Talking Heads reforming saying that he has little desire to reunite the band properly.  "We did have a lot of bad blood go down.  That's one reason, and another is that musically we're just miles apart."

Mandy Smith's 1988 album, Mandy, and Princess' 1986 album, Princess, will be reissued in expanded and remastered editions on May 12th via Cherry Pop.

Bruce Willis and model Emma Heming exchanged wedding vows at Willis' Parrot Cay (in the Turks and Caicos Islands) home on Mar. 21st.  The couple plan a smaller civil ceremony when they return to California.

Heaven And Hell have premiered their new single, "Bible Black," off their debut studio album, The Devil You Know, (due out Apr. 28th) at NoiseCreep.com.

Dr. Love (yes, Kiss' Gene Simmons) will star in a new commercial that will introduce the new Dr Pepper Cherry.  He will reportedly join Dr. J (Julius Erving) and Dr. Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer) in the TV spot.  The drink reportedly "has just a 'Kiss' of cherry flavor, making it amazingly smooth."

Great White's new 12-track studio album, Rising, will be released in North America via Shrapnel Records on Apr. 21st.

9 To 5: The Musical begins previews on Apr. 7th with a formal premiere set for Apr. 30th.  Meanwhile, Dolly Parton has released the title track as her 4th single off of Backwoods Barbie.  A video for the song has also been released.

Metallica's 163-track 'digital box set' will now be released via iTunes on Apr. 14th collecting all the studio albums, soundtrack songs and live recordings from various previously-released sources.

Due out in August, Pete Byrne has been busy in the studio working on an all new Naked Eyes album, Piccadilly.  The new video for the title track can be found at the NakedEyesMusic.com site.

German electronic pop act Boytronic are in the studio working on a new album scheduled for release in September.  The band was revived in 2002 when Holger Wobker of the original line-up paired with Hayo Panarinfo (of the second incarnation).  Wobker remains in the current line-up.

The Lemonheads will release their new covers album, Varshons, on June 23rd which will include songs by Leonard Cohen, Wire, G.G. Allin, Gram Parsons and many others.

Ever wonder what happened to former Prince And The Revolution keyboardist Matt "Dr. Fink"?  Fink launched his own studio, StarVu, in Minneapolis creating video game soundtracks and recording his own album in 2003.  Last year he talked about working on a new solo album and even re-teaming with Prince on releasing the unreleased Revolution album, Roadhouse Garden.  Fink will see his collaboration with former Megadeth guitarist Chris Poland on the song "Crackerman" appear on Wicked Garden: A Millennium Tribute To Stone Temple Pilots due out later this year.

Chris Cornell recently told AlternativeAddiction.com that he wasn't surprised that some fans had a negative reaction to his new album, Scream.  "Older American fans don't like it because they are typically my core fans that really supported me in Soundgarden and really loved that band."  He went on to say, " As a song writer and creative person, I have to do what makes me happy.  That changes, it goes into different worlds.  Sometimes its going to be in the world that those core fans of my earlier period love, and sometimes it won't."

After being inactive since their sophomore album, 1989's Time Will Tell, Seattle metal act Fifth Angel has entered the studio to work on a new project.  In a post on FifthAngel.com the band say, "Hopefully, schedules permitting, we'll have some new music for everyone in the next year."

Candlemass have made their new album, Death Magic Doom, available for streaming exclusively at their MySpace page.  The album is due out on May 5th in North America.

Frontiers Records has secured an exclusive North American distribution deal with Super D. Independent Distribution that will commence with releases by Jeff Scott Soto, Jimi Jamison, Wetton/Downes Icon and White Lion on Apr. 7th with additional titles added each month.

Madonna has reportedly applied to adopt a baby girl, Mercy James, in Malawi.  The singer is expected to arrive in the country over the weekend and she or her associates are expected to appear in court next Monday for the adoption proceedings.  Mavuto Bamusi, a national coordinator for their 60-member Human Rights Consultative Committee, recently told Reuters that this adoption would also violate the country's laws.

Gary Wright has been working in the studio on his follow-up to last year's Light Of A Million Suns EP.  During an interview with Talking 80s Music he said fans are reacting well to the songs he's been debuting live.  He has also been joining Ringo Starr in the studio to work a few songs on Starr's follow-up to Liverpool 8.

Pop and country artist Dan Seals, 61, died on Wednesday night at his daughter's Nashville home from complications from cancer.  According to long-time manager Tony Gottleib, Seals was diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma 2 years ago when he fell ill in the studio while recording songs with his brother Jim (of Seals & Crofts) for a Seals & Seals album.  Seals spent the 1970s as part of the pop rock duo England Dan & John Ford Coley who scored a #2 hit in 1976 with "I'd Really Love To See You Tonight."  Their final charting single was 1980's "In It For Love" and Seals released his solo debut later that year.  Starting in 1985 with "Meet Me In Montana" (a duet with Marie Osmond) he had 9 consecutive #1 country singles (11 total.)  His final solo album would be 2002's Make It Home.  Despite not finishing work on the Seals & Seals album, 8 songs were completed and had been expected to be released soon.

New Orleans blues vocalist/pianist Eddie Bo [born Edwin Joseph Bocage], 79, has died of a sudden, massive heart attack while out of town on Wednesday according to close friend and booking agent, Karen Hamilton.  Bocage's career covered more than 5 decades.  During the 1980s he recorded with the Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Willy DeVille and re-launched his Bo-Sound label.
